Riding for Special Needs

The Birtle Riding Centre provides riding for children and young adults with special needs
and everyone enjoys the rapport that exists between the voluntary helpers,
the riders and the riding school owners.
The charity Birtle and Rochdale Riding for Special Needs raises funds to support these riders
and is always looking for helpers to walk alongside the riders and help with the socials
and administration of the group.

Have a spare hour a week?

Birtle and Rochdale Riding for Special Needs needs you!

We are looking for volunteers to walk beside and generally assist horse/pony riders with a variety of special needs. This takes place 4 or 5 times a week during daytime and evenings, in the indoor school and out on the bridleways, weather permitting. No horse/pony experience necessary, but helpers need to be reasonably fit. Training will be given.

We’re sure that you will find this a very rewarding use of that spare hour in the week. If you can spare the time and would like to help, please call us on 0161 764 6573.
